Fairview firefighters responded to multiple accidents in the East and Westbound lanes of Interstate 40 leaving the Interstate completely closed for over 8 hours.

On April 26th, the Fairview Fire Department responded to multiple accidents on Interstate 40 in both the eastbound and westbound lanes. A tractor-trailer carrying wood timbers veered across the median of the interstate coming to rest in the westbound lanes. A passenger car then ran under the flatbed trailer of the truck. A second tractor-trailer "jack-knifed" in the eastbound lanes while attempting to avoid debris.
